AgTeCH19: Build it, Use it, Profit (Emerald)
Wednesday 6 November 2019
AgTeCH has become the largest regionally-based, dedicated agtech event in Australia and a significant event for agriculture generally across northern and eastern Australia. Run by CHDC and a volunteer committee of local agtech businesses, the event sold out again with nearly 270 people attending, 44 exhibitors and 8 fully-operational in-field demos.
In 2019, the interactive speaker panels focused on early stage and commercial applications of Automation, Robotics and Drones and IoT (Internet of Things) and Connectivity. The ten teams selected in the inaugural cohort of CHDC’s AgFrontier: Regional AgTech Incubator showcased their businesses in trade stalls in a “Start-Up Alley” at the event. They also featured in the event program, presenting a short (3 minute) introduction to their businesses between panels.
More than twenty secondary school and university students attended a special networking coffee to personally meet and connect with the AgFrontier cohort prior to the event at the “Start Up Alley Lounge”.
