AgFrontier at EvokeAG2020 in Melbourne
Our AgFrontier regional agtech incubator made an impact at the EvokeAG event in Melbourne this month with four of our cohort and our project team in attendance.
Andrew + Jocie Bate from SwarmFarm led the way with their pitch at the invitation-only investor dinner which even organisers described as “aiming to facilitate curated conversations and connections between international and local investors, and Australian and New Zealand companies”. The SwarmFarm team were also part of the ever-popular “Startup Alley” showcasing forty startups from Australia and overseas, alongside Juxi Leitner from LYRO Robotics, who recently announced seed-stage investment by a Japanese deep-tech company. The award-winning Tim Neale from DataFarming was in the trade area in with collaborators, Geoscience Australia. Also in attendance was Natalie Engel from One Platform, Bos C Agri who was a particpant in the Startup Program at the 2019 #EvokeAG event. The AgFrontier project team, comprising Liz Alexander and Sonya Comiskey also participated in what has been labelled the “Asia Pacific’s largest agrifood tech event”.
